Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s classic comedy play THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL was first staged in London at the Drury Lane Theatre in May 1777.

One of Sheridan’s most performed plays, THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL has been revived several times since it’s 1777 London premiere which includes a run at the Queen’s Theatre in 1937 and a 1940s production starring Laurence Olivier.

This meticulously crafted play, pokes fun at London’s upper-class society in the late 1700s where gossip is a powerful weapon that can be used against anyone.
