What is Shucked about?

When a blight hits the corn crop of Cobb County, Maizy and Beau are forced to postpone their wedding to try to save their corn and the livelihood of their home town. Maizy travels to Florida and meets Gordy Jackson, a con-man who claimes he wants to help but has his own interests at heart. Will the town be saved, or will the rising conflicts between the characters doom them all?
