A brand new musical PURPLE RAIN is in the works, and fans of Prince are hopeful that the show will be coming to London’s West End!
Based on seven-time Grammy winner Prince‘s album and film Purple Rain, this stage musical will be written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (Appropriate) and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz (The Skin of Our Teeth). The show will contain music and lyrics by Prince, including songs like When Doves Cry, Let’s Go Crazy, and the titular Purple Rain.

Purple Rainis the story of an up-and-coming rock musician in the Minneapolis club scene, as he contends with a tumultuous home environment, a rival band, and a budding romance.
