OUR TOWN is a play written by American playwright Thornton Wilder. This could be coming to London’s West End at some point in the future

OUR TOWN explores Life, Death and Marriage among other themes.

OUR TOWN debuted in New Jersey  in 1938, going on to open in Boston and New York in the same year, Wilder was awarded the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his work. OUR TOWN went on to be shown at the Barrow Street Theatre in New York in 2009, with the most recent production coming in 2017  from Deaf West Theatre, performing the play in American Sign Language and spoken English.

What is Our Town about?

Our Town tells the story of the fictional American small town of Grover’s Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens. It is an essential play about how we must embrace and appreciate the value of life itself.
