Received a nomination for Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards 2024
Best Musical winner A STRANGE LOOP is playing at the Barbican Theatre for a limited season only!
Grab your chance to see Michael R. Jackson’s blisteringly funny, ‘audacious and uproarious’ (The Guardian) heart-felt masterwork, which exposes a young black artist grappling with desires, identity, and instincts he both loves and loathes. Hell-bent on breaking free of his own self-perception, Usher wrestles with the thoughts in his head, brought to life onstage by a hilarious, straight-shooting ensemble.
Alan Cumming, Ilana Glazer, Jennifer Hudson, Mindy Kaling and Billy Porter have joined on as producers for the West End run after previously co-producing the musical on Broadway.
Reprising his lead role from Broadway, Kyle Ramar Freeman will make his West End debut as Usher, alongside Jason Pennycooke, Sharlene Hector, Danny Bailey, Eddie Elliott, and Tendai Humphrey Sitima as the Thoughts.
