For what would be its West End debut, Elton John and Tim Rice‘s AIDA is rumoured to be coming to London in the near future.

Directed by an original Broadway star of AIDA, Schele Williams, this timeless tale of love and loyalty is based on Giuseppe Verdi’s opera of the same name. Set in Ancient Egypt, this musical follows the story of star-crossed lovers from warring nations, and the difficulties they face as they have to choose between loyalty to their countries or to each other.

With the returning award-winning talent of Bob Crowley (scenery & costume) and Natasha Katz (lighting), and featuring songs such as “Written in the Stars” and “My Strongest Suit”, this well-loved musical could be coming to a West End stage very soon!
